1974 funk single by
American Motown artist
Stevie Wonder, from the album Fulfillingness' First Finale. The song, which ironically wasn't in the reggae style, continued Wonder's successful Top Ten streak on the pop charts, reaching #3. It also spent 2 weeks at number one on the soul charts. It features Wonder's distinctive
harmonica, and is notable for Wonder's pulsating Moog synth bassline.
The song was covered by
Phish thirty-three times during their live shows, including on their
live album Hampton Comes Alive. The song is also covered by
Marcus Miller on his 2005 album
Silver Rain Also covered, "in the reggae style", by the
Slickers on their 1976 covers-album "Many Rivers To Cross".
